A pair of suspects stand accused of murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.
Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 stand indicted for homicide and are scheduled to appear in Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, according to police authorities.
Watkins, 48 years old, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins was arrested after the execution of a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were taken as evidence.
