Everywhere you go, commentators persist in tolling the death bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a relatively obscure console. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering about PlayStation unprecedentedly. Last year proved to be complete chaos for Xbox and Microsoft. But if we're going solely off the upcoming Game Pass lineup in 2026, it becomes clear that the green gaming company remains determined to attract subscribers with compelling titles on its key platform.
A pair of titles currently accessible at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, don't represent the biggest draws. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's worth getting excited about.
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underrated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that refreshes typical Ubisoft design with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, hailed in past assessments as "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite that's a blast to play, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.
This UK-developed survival title from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.
Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to look forward to.
Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not massive exclusive blockbusters that validate the subscription by themselves. However, this batch of games are very dependable. There's a good mixture of older titles you may have skipped and new-ish games that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.
