The England manager Questions Wembley Fan Atmosphere Despite Comfortable Win Over Wales.

Thomas Tuchel voiced his regret that the England team did not receive stronger encouragement from the home crowd during their impressive 3-0 friendly victory on Thursday night.

Tuchel was happy to see his side continue their strong performance, with strikes from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Bukayo Saka inside the first 20 minutes effectively ending the match. But, he was unhappy with the atmosphere at the iconic venue.

“With limited training days to get ready against a well-trained team and we did very well,” Tuchel commented. “It could have been five goals ahead at the break. We missed the fourth and fifth ones. There was little noise. There was no any energy from the stands. Our team gave their all to win.”

“What more can you give in the first quarter? We didn’t let them escape. When you only hear just Wales fans for 30 minutes, it’s regrettable because the squad warranted more support today.”

“I maintain this statement. There’s nothing more than being 3-0 in a rivalry match. I hoped for a bit more backing in periods where it is challenging.”

“After halftime, to get behind us, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to recharge, but it is what it is and so be it.”

Selection Choices Vindicated by Performance

Apart from potentially starting a dispute among fans, the manager also raised eyebrows by omitting Jude Bellingham and Foden from his squad. But the decision was validated by Rogers delivering another standout performance in the No 10 position and getting his maiden goal for his country.

“He plays his game,” Tuchel said. “He is a No 10 and he is fighting for his spot.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

Craig Bellamy expressed hope that his team, who face Belgium in a crucial qualifying match on next week, take lessons from their disappointing first-half display.

“This is why I scheduled this match,” the manager commented. “I need to see our standing. Where do we want to go? Who do we want to be? This performance fills me with inspiration.”

Injury Concern for Striker

Watkins was withdrawn at half-time after hitting a post and will be a doubt when the national team play their next opponents in Riga in a qualifier on Tuesday.
