Jet Transporting Pete Hegseth Forced to Land in UK Because of Crack in Windshield

An aircraft carrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unscheduled landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday after a crack was discovered in the aircraft's cockpit window, according to an official statement which verified that the secretary was unharmed.

"The plane landed following standard protocol and all passengers, such as Defense Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a public statement.

The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the Belgian capital at the time.

This incident is not the first time that a United States armed forces jet carrying a high-ranking official has experienced mechanical issues.

Earlier this year, a American military jet ferrying Marco Rubio to the German city of Munich was forced to turn back to Washington after experiencing a technical issue.
