The controversial, American and Israeli-supported Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) says it is winding down its aid operations in the Palestinian territory, after almost six months.

The foundation had already suspended its multiple aid distribution centers in Gaza following the truce agreement between Hamas and Israel took effect in recent weeks.

The organization attempted to avoid UN systems as the main supplier of humanitarian assistance to Gazans.

International relief agencies declined to participate with its system, saying it was improper and dangerous.

Numerous Gazans were fatally wounded while seeking food amid disorderly situations near the organization's distribution points, primarily from Israeli forces, as reported by United Nations.

Israeli authorities stated its troops fired cautionary rounds.

Program Termination
