British Punter Wins £26 Million Euro Millions Jackpot

An individual British player has secured the twenty-six million pound Euro Millions grand prize, lottery officials have verified.

The successful digits picked on Friday night were 06, 12, 18, 25 and 41, with the Lucky Star numbers 02 and 06.

This marks the 3rd European lottery jackpot claimed in the United Kingdom so far this year out of the ten drawn up to now.

Earlier this year, an individual secured £83 million, subsequently a £65m Valentine's Day prize. Each victor opted to stay unknown.

However, the successful player of last Saturday's £10.6m National Lottery jackpot has yet to come forward.

A senior winners' adviser advised participants to spend some time to verify their entries and electronic messages.

The winning Lotto numbers for the Saturday draw were: 06, 08, 12, 33, 49, 59 and the bonus number was 42.

The EuroMillions win will be verified against the lottery regulations, and once approved, the successful player will decide whether to reveal their identity.

Even with turning them into a millionaire, the Friday jackpot of twenty-six million pounds does not put the winner among the top European lottery prize recipients.

A jackpot of above 183 million pounds would have been required to earn a position in the top 10 list of jackpot prizes.

The largest win won by a British participant is £195m in the year 2022, based on data from the lottery.

While it is difficult to win a lottery, it is simpler than people believe to leave it unclaimed.

An individual lost a £1m win in the previous year after missing the deadline for a lottery success within the 180 day claim period, meaning the money was given to National Lottery-funded projects.

The greatest lottery win to be left untouched in the Britain was sixty-three point eight million pounds in June 2012.

The European lottery is held every Tuesday and Friday evening across nine European countries.
