Based on latest statistics, the number of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.

From 2004 and 2024, the number of male centenarians has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the identical years, the count of women aged 100 or over nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.

We are excited to receive stories from those aged 100 or over, their loved ones or companions, about what it has been like to live through the past century’s major happenings and developments.
